multiplexed vocoder filter

looking at a switched cap filter, it occured to me that it
might be possible to have a number of caps, and a multiplexing
arrangement to switch them and the output, thereby making 
effectively a bunch of filters with the same IC.
I know the noise level would go up, but that isn't a problem
usually with this sort of application.
Any thoughts?
