Rhythm generator

    The Xilinx XC9500 family of PLDs start with a 36 macrocell device (44 pin
PLCC) that costs less than $3.  A $100 kit provides all the software required.
This family is ISP (In-circuit-Programmable) and needs only a cable to the printer
port to program it.
