Even with Acrobat 2.1, you can change the downsampling on the graphics to
anything you want. Not sure whether you're using PC or Mac (I use Mac), but
it is definately in there. On the Mac, it's done through File>Page Setup.
Oops, as I read further, I see that you are a Mac user. I use the latest
version of the AdobePS print driver with the PDF plug-in, and I'm running OS
8.5.1. This combination creates a desktop printer icon. When I go to page
setup, as I wrote above, I can drop down a box which allows me to change the
way in which graphics are handled, including the resolution of the graphic
image within the PDF file.

Sounds like I'm going to have to break down and buy the upgrade to the 4.0
Distiller. I can't do the Articling with 2.1.
