Great thing about people who used to work for ARP is that it carried a lot of
clout with the elderly. If you were in a conversation with someone over 65, and
you told them you worked for ARP, most of the time they thought you meant AARP
(American Association of Retired Persons) and they would give you the red carpet
treatment. No telling how many former ARP employees sucked a free lunch off the
elderly riding on the coat tails of AARP. The real kick in the pants came when
you invited them out to the local pub to hear your "ARP" presentation. YOWZA!
I wonder how many letters AARP still gets from people wanting customer service on
their old Odysseys.
