Very valueable hint, thank you. The commercial synths I currently use
with my Wind Controller don't allow for real-time modulation of Sustain
level, but my self-made synth (with CEM3310 ADSRs) does. I intended to
try this all the time, but I haven't yet (shame on me).
But does the sustain cv really affect the ADSR's output voltage when
it's still in the attack phase? When I look at the CEM3310 schematic,
this doesn't seem to be the case. But then, producing a soft attack with
breath is easy, so it wouldn't matter to set the ADSR's attack time to
minimum. A lagged decay is more interesting. It would be most useful in
the release phase, after Note-Off. This again doesn't seem to be
possible with the sustain cv. (Don't bother with these questions too
long, I'll try it in the next time anyway.)
