Well, problably worth nothing, but I own 2 Lexicons, a Reflex
plus a LXP5. I don't know if it has something to do with this particulair problem, but I have noticed that the MIDI out/through port is *extremely* weak e.g. easily broke (electronically) on both models..
Since the problem seems some kind of overall problem maybe it is related. Both of my machines suffer from this, but they have no noise problem like you discribed.
