"Moog" correct pronunciation?

(To end all this controversy... the following lines are from an interview
with Bob Moog in Keyboard Mag. feb/95):

"Well, the name is not English. It was originally Dutch, althought most
Moogs in the world come from northern Germany, and no German would
pronounce it 'Moog' (as in 'brood'). I don't think that sound exists in
German. Anyway, to me, it just sounds better as 'Moog' (as in 'vougue')."
