"Moog" correct pronunciation?

What is the correct pronunciation for the name Moog.

I was listening to the radio today and the DJ started talking about Moog synth's. He pronounced it as Moh -g emphasis on oh sound. Someone called in and asked if it was correct. He said he knew beyond a doubt that he was correct. I have always heard it as Moo - g. The cow sound Moo with a g on the end.
