...Yes, and especially when the subject matter is of such an
objective nature (in general). After all, there's no such thing as "an ideal
VCO", it all depends on your application and what you're trying to maximize
(parts count, cost, range, tracking, easy to obtain parts, etc, etc) - if
electronics were any different, there'd be only one opamp in the Harris
catalog!
I've been on vacation this week (dumping mad snow in Lake Tahoe -
woo yoo!) and just checked my mail for the first time - to find a couple
hundred messages and all this crazy emotional stuff in the middle of it. I
was quite surprised. Just build what you think is best and report on it -
you'll always be helping *some* people.
