I strongly agree with Paul here. It seems three EGs per voice is a good
starting point (VCF, VCA, modulation -- VCQ or PWM for example). Of course
good use can be made of AD or AR EGs; and, as always, the preference is for
voltage controlled EGs.
I often like to drone on about the lack of interesting VC timbre modulation
modules (and circuits) available, but an even stronger case could be made for
the lack of nonstandard CV generators and processors (BTW does anybody know
of a VC S/H circuit?). Even using VCFs for DC may seem novel in this regard.
Now Paul, please elaborate on the ringing of the LF filter (a pulse into the
VCQ input), and the pulses deformed by a lag processor?
