Tom, thanks for the info on Jp-8000. I have been tempted to play the 8080,
but I am afraid I will like it and then want to buy it and I already have
too much stuff and too little money to buy more.

I almost agreed with you in passing on this one, and then I started doing
some comparison and actually have decided that I respectfully disagree.
All of the rack stuff I have is significantly different than the keyboard
version.
MKS-80 Super Jupiter, not like either JP-6 or 8
Korg DSM-1 sampler, not like the DSS-1 (why in the hell did they leav out
the res filter, not to mention 4x different memory.
Even the lowly TX-7, is significantly different than the DX-7 in many
features.
TG-33, oopps, twice the poly of the SY-22 keyboard.
I am actually having a hard time thinking of modules that were just
key-less versions without significant differences in one way or another.
However, I am certain there are some ('cause I learned a long time ago that
I don't know everything, or even 1% of it). <g>
