Hi....

I use a Roland FV1 foot volume pedal for my SH-5. It's incredibly
strong/heavy and looks really cool. It's a standard guitar/synth volume
pedal. However, as described in the SH5 manual, if you connect the output
to the VCF or VCA jack of the SH-5 it controls those parameters. If memory
serves: the CV from synth goes thru tip and attenuated by passing a
variable amount to ground thru the shield.  

This and many other pedals can easily be converted to work as a normal
expression pedal and are cheap and really strong. Mine only cost $20AUD.
