DIY standards MM

as someone else said,lets not get this standards thing out of control..
i think all most people are really concerned with is that if things are 
intended to go into modules racked up with other modular stuff, it 
would be nice if it all fitted....
obviously if people are making whole synths etc they wont fit in...

and the existence or discussion of standards can hardly stop people from
doing whatever they dang well like.... thank God.... :-)
