"DIY" standards ???

Y-ellow Harry 'n' y'all.
Whilst I'll probably never build another modular synth I think this is an
excellent suggestion. These days I tend to take my cues from the Japanese
however. "Small, Plastic and hard to use!" :)

I've always liked the FracRack concept. More for the name than anything.
"Frac" use to be the stand-in word for "Fuck" in the series "Battle Star
Galactica". Much like the word "Smeg" means both "Shit" and "fuck" in the
series "Red Dwarf" You have no idea how much we laugh down here every time
they advertise the "Smeg" brand of white goods. "I'm not buying one of them
toasters if it's Smeg." But I digress.

The only problem with the FracRac (I can hardly say that without laughing)
is that we don't get 'em down here. But if we did, I'd have no qualms about
putting my little automated mixer into one. It would fit just nicely into a
single Frac unit. Assuming there's enough room for sockets etc.

Do you know if you can get card-edge and slide rails for the FracRacK? I've
been using Critchley frames for years. Only because I could get them cheap
at one time but they are otherwise extremely expensive. Similar concept to
FracRacks except they're designed mainly for card rails and back-plains.

But if it were possible that we all be standardized then I'm sure it would
allow extreme flexibility and a minimum of re-inventing the wheel.

be absolutely Icebox.
