"DIY" standards ???

Personally, I like the diminutive fracrack panel size vs. the larger panel
form factors. The fracrack frames are sturdy enough for me.. Without the
side braces they bend slightly if you really are rough on 'em, but nothing
too bad. Their small size means that they're easier to drill and work
with. I use small knobs and the end result is something more compact and
less imposing than other modulars I've seen. Of course, I care more about
usefullness than aesthetics: packing the most bang per square inch.
As for jacks, pots, and knobs.. It's a nice idea, but even in this group
I'd bet you'd have a hard time finding enough people to make the group
purchase worth the effort. (divvying the stuff out, spending more $ on
second shipments of the divided goods..) Plus everybody has their own
favorite jack, knob, and pot...
