Can someone help me out?

I'm a novice to the entire diy electronics practice (I modified a SK-1 :))
and would like to know if there is anyone to whom I could I ask a few
simple questions regarding practical knowledge (things like part no's)?
Should I just post them to the list no matter how basic?  I'm very keen on
building one or two of tom's modules but I would need a little help to
start up.  I'm enrolled in an intensive electronics course but it's been
less than a month since it started, I guess I'm a little eager! :)
