smoked my OB-1 : (

Apparently, replacing a fuse and fuse cap which were missing, and replacing
the broken power switch on my "new" OB-1, wasnt such a good idea. When I
finally got the power light to come on, the rest of the synth was dead, no
lights on the memory bank section, no sound out the output. Wasnt long before
the smoke and stench made itself apparent. What I can see inside the unit is
a couple of small bulbous blue thingies (labeled +6.8 +35v) on the main
circuit board had split and and spit their innards onto the circuit board. I
havent yet seen any other burnt spots in the synth. Can anyone take pity on
me and explain just what I have done?
Have I ruined the entire circuit board or components, or is there a chance it
can be fixed without a major operation? What do I do first to determine the
nature of the problem? I would rather not go hunting for a good tech/repair
job on a synth I can replace relatively cheaply, especially if the damage is
severe. Anyone sporting spare OB schematics? Or insight into my dilemma? A
good working handgun? Thanks in advance, sorry if this wastes anyones time :
