Somewhat off-topic but good story:

Power Computing had a lot of success with their first Macintosh clones, but
almost went under due to a rash of bizarre problems which swamped their
customer service department and threw a pall over new sales. After trying
the proverbial everything, someone finally discovered that an early batch
of thermally-conductive epoxy they had used to attach the heatsinks to the
processors was, well, BAD. Apparently a lot of the processors didn't fail,
at least not right away, they got just hot enough to start flaking-out in a
totally unpredictable fashion. It must have been really marginal because it
took them so long to figure it out.

Eventually they were bought out by Apple for making an arguably better
computer and became millionaires overnight.
