Cabinet simulator discussion and touch switches revisited

I just came across a web site with some interesting discussions
and schematics for doing guitar amp cabinet simulations, much
more elaborate than the current slew of commercial products.
May be of interest to some of you:

On another note, I was reading an article about single-contact
touch switches in PE. This subject has been discussed at
length here before, but the article mentioned using an LED holder
as the touch switch contact. This seems like a great way to optimize
panel real estate, and probably costs less than a mechanical switch.
The only downside being that the holder would have to be insulated
from the panel.
