Designs for TH's "supercontroller" is in the "electronic music circuits:
the reprints" from MAP. It's pretty handy. Basically it's a multi-purpose
LFO (w/delay, trigger-able, the works), noise source (w/filter, range,
and attenuation), and sample + hold (hardwired to noise, i think). Sounds
like a handy thing to have.
Personally I'm using my 76477 in a homebrew drum box with a 3320 LP VCF
and AD envelope generator, with the VCF modulation by noise (from the
76477) or the envelope. Should be pretty spiffy... it's 90% done, just
need to figure out a few issues and, well, turn it on, after which point
I'll probably be solving encountered problems for another few months :)
Anybody have any idea how to extract a HP out from a 3320 VCF? (namely
tomg's design) It would be handy for getting cymbal-like sounds, but
certainly not totally necessary.
