When I built mine (I didn't know about Paia at all, I got the circuit from
the
Keyboard mag), I made a few changes to the circuit, and included level
potentiometers for each channel. I have made a PCB (16cm x 10cm)
for the vocoder, including the potentiometers that were directly soldered
into the board. These were special pots with a mounting bracet (the ones
MAM used to use for the old version of their line mixers), but you might
find other potentiometers that fit in as well.
Maybe I have the films around somewhere still ...
Interested ? John ?
