I certainly never recommended it!
Unless you are wanting to scrub your boards with water, rather than something
toxic/flammable/ecologically unsound.
You certainly couldn't use 'water soluble' for synth repair, unless you want to
put your Prophet 5 in the bath, or strap it to the roof for a few laps of the
carwash.....
