Once upon a time (within 6 years ago) Radio Shack (Tandy) sold 1.5mil
reel-to-reel tape.  That's a lot thicker than most. I remember thinking
that it would be good for abusive situations.  Might see if they still have
it - I know they still sell some RR tape but....
