[Digital_Hell] unbalanced outputs (Mackie 1604)

I have the same output problem with my Alesis 1622.. one side is definitely louder..I
*think* is a phasing problem... My one side seems to sound a little muddier, like the
impedance is causing some sort of filtering on that side and the signal dynamics, or
the amount the led level indicators move isnt as much as the other side. I think a LOT
of mixers are coming down with this ailment.
anyone else have any clues?
