Modular stuff

One thing i have noticed with 99% of modulars is how all of the sockets for patching are within the modules.
So by the time you have patched a something fairly substantial (25 leads eg) you can't even get to the knobs
properly :(

Has anyone tried having a seperate panel at say the bottom of their modular to allow easier access to the knobs
/controls? What would be the best way to implement this without spending too much extra?

Also, has anyone had any experience with Fracracs that PAIA sell?
