what does "SOT" mean? and "hor encl"?

i'm about to build a LM13700 based VCA and the schem' calls for
a resistor valued at "SOT". what gives? and pardon the ignorance if
everyone but me knows what this is....the same schem (maplin) refers
to a "22k hor encl preset" resisistor: this is obviously a
potentiometer, but
what's "hor encl" mean???? help!
