Hi!

I am also interested on using SSM2164 as VCO chips, so more info would be appreciated (stability, tempco). I am currently testing standard ramp integrator VCO, but have seen some interesting designs with tri/square VCO. What's the difference in terms of stability, tracking and overall quality? Since I have some problems with quality saw->tri conversion, maybe it would be worth trying tri/square version. I suppose if I use SSM2164, there would be no need for exponential converter, since SSM2164 already has exponential control. How is with the tri->saw conversion?
And a small note: using SSM2164 for a tri/square VCO, there is somehow difficult to implement linear FM.

I got ssm2164 VCA yesterday!
sooner than i expected...
made triangle wave VCO with it...
runs coooool...
15 octaves VC :-)
20 (and more) octaves VC if you don't care about precision
tracks better than i can measure (will make double vco test later)
185mV/oct at 23 deg. Celcius
as for me, rather poor tempco: 6-8 cents/deg.
