A pitch-to-voltage follower is high on my list. The MS-20 is linear
response correct? I have some ideas for adaptive filtering (mainly for
guitar and that nasty second harmonic), but how does one convert the 
exponential output of a PVF to linear? This is a square root function,
what is the equivalent circuit? I assume it would have all the 
difficulties associated with an exponential converter...
