The overdrive sound you refer to is oscillator sync.  The Prodigy and
Source had the ability to control the frequency of the synced oscillator
by the pitch wheel, without bending the frequency of the non-synced
oscillator.  Stock Minimoogs don't have any provisions for oscillator
sync.  The Minimoog can almost certainly be modified to allow this, but
it would probably not be a trivial modification.
