s-trigger

     Hi there,
     
     I was wondering whether anybody knew much about the s-trigger 
     standard. Has anyone done any work with S-trig converters?Last night I 
     attached a CRO onto the s-trigger out of a well known MIDI/CV 
     convertor to see whether it had an open collector output or not. The 
     s-trigger had 3 settings:- s-trig, s-trig with a 5V pullup, s-trig 
     with a 15V pullup. The s-trig setting and the s-trig w/ 5V pu had 
     exactly the same output. I even connected a 4.7k pullup resistor to 
     15V and the s-trig output only went from 5V to 0V. I don't have 
     immediate access to any true s-trig gear (only a Korg MS-10 which has 
     been modded with an inverter, anyway), but I was wondering whether any 
     s-trig gear required an open collector output, or whether a logically 
     inverted gate signal is sufficient.
