alternatives for keyswitches?

hi ironers and alikes.
:).

between all this WASP-, minimoog- offtopic and and other boring stuff
(sorry, sorry) I found myself having this need to produce a weird idea.

I think it's been 3 times now that i cleaned my D50's key-contacts.
Every time i spent about a day screwing things out and in again.
these contacts Theyr'e just rubbish -that's what i think almost by now.

At the other hand, i have a fine other controller keyboard, so-
Why just don't remove the key-stuff? Want to keep the good old sounds.
And use the extra space for some module, place for a notebook or
whatever, or just hang my D50 vertical to keep in touch with vectorpoke
and knobs.
BUT then. 5 octaves of timing sensitive contactcircuits left.
It must be possible to use these things in an alternative way.

Need about 60 pairs of electronic switches. You electronic whiz-
gyes know what i mean.? Two flipflops or what-is-the-name of the right
circuit. These flipflops must have their own power supply and should be
connected to the D50's internal electronics in a safe way.
Can you do this without using opto-couplers.?Second thing I had in mind
is that these flip-flops must flip or flop at a -fine tunable-
adjustable voltage (Asking for stability problems?).
I want to have the possibility to make flexible array's of
alternative key-switches that can react on controlvoltages from
any desirable source (at least within the limits of -5 to +5 volt
or so,-yes, there might be a computer involved).

Do i hear laughing or is there someone who can get along with the
idea an give me some thoughts about it?. Some hints about appropriate
circuits..? With as little soldering as possible (time is not
much of money, but in my view time is musicmaking- need as much as
possible of that stuff -i'm an addict.).

(in a sense it would be a voltage to midi converter i suppose).

Anyone thanks for response.
