This is no good idea, IMO.
The oscillators aren't really DCOs. They are VCOs with
digital frequency dividers, where every note selects
a different division number. That's a step further
than the use of dividers for footage selection only
(like in the Polysix, for example), but the main advantage
of VCOs, one free running analogue hardware circuit
for each "Oscillator" is still there. Beating, smooth pitch
bend and so on ...
