the non-ideal diode that gives the magic here..
So, an 'ideal' diode is exactly what you do not want..
Perhaps someone can emulate this in Spice orsomething and
let us know!
The 'ring modulator' in the MS20 I think is merely an XOR
logic gate, which certainly gives a shitload of harmonics
and costs virtually nothing, but isn't suitable for processing
external sounds (prob. why you can't get at it, unlike the
excellent ringmod in the Arp2600).
