speed difference?

So are you saying then that the G3 is optimized for certain applications?
If so, comparing the processor's performance using those apps as benchmarks
is akin to stacking the deck.  By the same token, you could say that my AMD
K6-2/333 is three times as fast as an eqivalent PII, if you count only apps
that are optimized for it's 3DNOW! instruction set. And that would hardly
be fair.

But I'm no partisan; I dislike both groups equally, but for entirely
different reasons.
