G3 - compact, efficient, less demanding

This is all dandy, except the results are not that clear. Plus considering
you can get a Celeron 300 for $60, you can do a simple mod to put two
of these on a $179 motherboard, plus you can overclock them easily
to 412MHz and more. I just finished putting together such a puppy. It
screams. Add ram, put that in a casing and voila. You can get for $40
more a motherboard with a dual adaptec SCSI controller (plus the
dual eide controller, floppy, USB etc).
Note that if you are running win98, all bets are off, this is the slowest
OS ever... I run linux on the above mentioned box, and rendering
speed of video frames is faster than an SGI O2.
