Sorry to bother the list again,
you're all very friendly and I got a lot of mails already,
only that 9 out of 10 mails are about Computer CD burners.
I guess it was my mistake not to be precise, but what
I mean with "HiFi CD recorder" is a *standalone* unit
that fits into the HiFi rack, together with CC deck,
FM tuner, DAT recorder and turntable. (;->)
I already know that I have to buy slightly more expensive media
than for computer CD-R, copy bit stuff etc.
I've also made a clear decision for a standalone, and against a
PC recorder already.
What I am after is first hand experience, and test reports of
certain brands and models, like Philips CDR 870 / 880, or
Pioneer PDR 55 and so on.
I am thinking about buying the new PDR 555 RW
or CDR 880 - did anybody use one of these already ?
Is any of these standalone recorders more difficult to
operate than others, mechanically louder, more complicated
to set markers, problems with compatibillity - that kind of stuff.
Sorry again - I hope this is clearer now.
Looking forward to any recommendations,
JH.
