G'day all
Just wondering if anyones got any suggestions for modifications
(sound-wise) to a crappy digital keyboard. My Yamaha SHS-10 has been
sitting out of it's shell for months, waiting to be connected to it's new
full-sized keys and body, and, well, at the moment I'm only looking at
using it as a MIDI controller, 'cause the sounds are basically crap!
Any thoughts on how to beef it, tweak it, generally make it un-crap?
Hmm - maybe if I fed it through a VCA controlled by an envelope follower,
feeding the envelope follower from a mike, resulting in an el-cheapo
vocoder-type-thingy?
(Oh, I'm gonna make the body a really sleak beast, kinda influenced by
those heavy-metal guitars with the sweeping V shapes - no, not the
flying-Vs, um, think metallica...)
