Sockets

Hi all,

I have reached the end of my tether with my semi-modular. Every time I move
the leads, I lose contact and have to spend a minute or so twiddling the
jack in and out to get a good connection. This can lead to odd tuning
problems with CVs and noisy audio. Right, so what I need are some
recomendations for good 1/4inch jack sockets. The ones I have at the moment
are made by Cliff; plastic bezel types sold by Maplin and Farnell. They are
also standard on the better Soundcraft desks, which says something. The
Switchcraft ones in the Farnell catalogue look good, but does anyone have
any better sources of sockets? And does the jack plug make any real
difference, are these worth upgrading? With my present sockets it does not
matter whether I use Neutrik plugs or el cheapo plugs.

Regards,
