hex guitar pickup?

seems like working with the GR-300 would be the cleanest route, but youd want
a roland controller, and maybe thats more than you are after.  im sure the
individual hex output is easily procured inside the synth. I seem to remember
Craig Anderton describing this modification among others, oh, a few years
back.
