	Hallo Maarten!

	>A broken bridge rectifier killed several ic's in my bit one. I
replaced
	>a couple ic's including the main µp. Another µp is used to generate
	>keyboard codes, this one got smoked too. This µp is an 805118. I
looked
	>on the internet for a data sheet but I can't find it. The schematic
	>tells me it's an ordinary 8051.

	You are completely right!

	>There is no ROM or RAM connected to it so I guess the software is
	>stored in ROM on the µp. Does anyone have the source code or
	>are there other possibilities to repair my bit one?

	You are right again!

And you asked the question in the right group as I have already
repaired a Bit One and made a copy of the ROM content. If you
want I could send you the binary or intelhex file if you can program

8051 microcontrollers by yourself. Otherwise you could send me a
blank
EPROM or OTP-version of the chip and I could program it for you.
If you have no access to these parts let me know and I could tell
you how much it will cost if I buy this chip in Austria.
Of course I am not interested in making money with you. I would
just need the money for the chip and postage! Programming would be
no problem as I have a programmer for it.

	Ciao
	Peter
