Look at http://www.aplac.hut.fi/aplac/manual/html3/ana/ethermal.html
for simulating self-heating components and making thermal interconnetions
and thermal networks!
Unfortunately the syntax of the program is very strange and varies from
command to command. Also the transient analysis in not very reliable when
compared to HSPICE (or even PSPICE) but if we compare it to Berkeley SPICE2
and 3 it does its work very well.
However, APLAC has steady-state (harmonic balance) analysis unlike
SPICE-simulators, so for example distortion simulations are more
efficient. APLAC is mainly used to simulate RF-amplifiers and frequency
mixers so that's why it relies more on the harmonic balance than on the
transient analysis.
