I know this is not the spirit of this list... but really why not buy a brand
new Ultrafex 2 for 125UKP in this country. When you count the cost of the
rack, knobs, pots etc, you really could not make this thing any cheaper
yourself. Of course, you have to live with the fact it was made in China
with workers being paid a pittance. However, the design is sound and it does
sound good.
