yeah, that would work, but it would definitely cost more and I think the PIC
chips use more current...I also wanted to do it with off-the shelf commonly
available parts and I dont think they sell PIC chips at radio shack! :) But, as
a one-chip solution this could definitely work.. If I ever get a PIC programmer
I will look into it..
Anybody know of a freeware PIC compiler/programmer? I have been wanting to mess
with these for a while.. I guess a basic stamp could do it too, and supposedly
you can program them off of the parallel port pins of your PC..
