Some of them are. The Tel Labs Q81's that were in common use back then were
wirewound resistors, and they are very easy to wreck (the wires are very thin
and fragile). I don't know if the 1.8K resistors that ARP used were
wirewounds (they look physically different), but it's a good bet that they
were. They probably got damaged when you tried to remove them from the old
3086's.
