Right. Even the long mellotron samples don't carry the
feeling of the real instrument. How could a short sniplet ?
One of the (rare) disappointments of the "Synthesizer von
Gestern" CDs was the mellotron track. M.B. aparently
had problems to tune the beast, and sampled a single
note instead. Listening to the little piece of music he has
played with this sample is the best exercise to learn
how not to do it.
