Unfortunately, the spring reverb is one of the moduless which is dead...
it's quite an old machine, and has been in use for 30-some years at
Brandeis. One of the main reasons I want to sample it is that, besides it
being an absolute _classic_ modular, it's really falling into disrepair.
Quite a pity! I really can't repair it since I a) am not comfortable
enough with my skills to repair it myself and b) It's not mine (too
bad..). I am going to try to get it repaired, but see below. 

[ The problem with this scenerio is that the music lab here is in awful
disrepair... a p100 with cakewalk that crashes after 5 seconds of running
and midi modules not even hooked up at all. The buchla is used, but 
primarily for theory, not in actual practice. The more I'm here, the more
it seems that getting a piece of equipment hooked up or fixed in academia
is an arduous, if not impossible, process.. ] 

Maybe I'll try shaking the modular, maybe the damn thing just needs a good
"talking to"... wheres my belt ;)
