Thanks for the app info.  Alternate timbral sources were always something I
focused on.  The suggestion by someone to use the VCO output wave to input a
fast A/D is actually a pretty good idea.  I would look at this as a form of
wave-shaping.  You could drive the table then with any signal (or
combination).  With simple tables some awesome timbres are possible.  It
might also be a more "modular" way of doing things in that you could use it
as a general purpose signal processor as opposed to dedicating it to
waveform generation.  All of your notions of what you want to do still
apply!  Just a thought.
