At the Minneapolis public library (downtown), there is a Roland manual on
synthesis that details the system 100M and how to use it. It is called,
"Practical Synthesis for Electronic Music...Volume One, 2nd Edition".
The author is Roland. The call number is "ML 1092, P73, 1979, v.1" It will
tell you everything you need to know. Why is such a high-tech, system-
specific, ratty old manual sitting on the shelf in that library? Who knows,
but thank God for the librarian who saved it from the recycle bin.
I post this to the list only to suggest that public libraries are to
synthesizer manuals as yard sales are to wedgewood china. You never
know who has what just sitting on a shelf -- yours just for the asking. :-)
