"Moogerfooger" is Bob Moog's name for his new effect pedals. One is a
lowpass filter w/envelope follower, the other is a ring modulator.
Check out http://www.bigbriar.com for more info.

I haven't found any more info on the barberpole phaser. There is an
interview with Harald Bode in a 1981 issue of Polyphony, but all he says
is something along the lines of "I am making a barberpole phaser." ZERO
technical details. I have no idea if any of them were actually
commercially produced. I've never heard of one for sale. I've done
some searching on the topic, and I just don't think there is much info
out there.
Would Big Briar put one out as a Moogerfooger pedal? Quite possibly.
When the Moogerfoogers were first announced at NAMM, Mike Rivers (who
wrote an extensive report on NAMM) mentioned that there might be a
barberpole phaser Moogerfooger coming out eventually. Bob Moog had a
very close relationship with Harald Bode (Bode and Moog co-designed
several Moog modules, such as the frequency shifter), so it wouldn't be
entirely out of the realm of possibility. Granted, it does seem like a
lot of circuitry to stuff into a pedal. I would definitely buy one in a
second.
