The 303 emulation is that, an emulation, but the 808 (and possibly the 909
in version 2) are just sample playback with a bit of software envelope
overlaid, and different playback speeds for pitch. The snare adds one of
four randomly chosen noise samples to the clean version for the 'snappy'
parameter.

Not going to go near the warez issue....
